Mechafauna would be cool, but actually it's megafauna. A team of scientists (perhaps a crack team) is proposing that we reintroduce several species of megafauna (that means big animals, by the way) into the ecosystem of North America.
Sometimes scientists are so caught up in what we SHOULD do that they don't stop to think what we CAN do because it would be REALLY COOL. Fortunately the aforementioned elite team of ninja scientists is on the job.
