So this happened the other day but I was too busy talking about my ears or something. Anyway so Google bought YouTube for the absolutely crazy price of 1.65 billion frigging dollars. A lot of people are wondering if this was a good idea, considering that YouTube doesn't really even make money right now I don't think? Also YouTube has been subject to a lot of copyright infringement suits (though I'm not too worried about that since the law clearly says you're safe hosting user-submitted stuff as long as you take down infringing material when you're notified of it). I think it's a pretty good idea though.
Mostly because of the GooTube jokes you can make now.
