I am an etymology dork and I also like geography. What are the odds that these two interests would coincide in the form of a couple of maps that translate place names (that's "toponym" if you want to be fancy about it) from their original language into literal English translations?? You'd be maybe not that surprised to learn that a lot of lakes are named after the name for a lake in some other language! Anyway this thing is pretty neat even if in a number of ways it's not really accurate.
