If you're a graphic design nerd like me, you'll probably like this list of corporate logo evolutions. Some logos have changed a lot, but a few, like GE's, have barely changed since they were created. Although, on the GE logo it says the latest version was designed by Wolff Olins, which is a big identity firm. Even though it looks pretty much exactly like the previous version, only it's light blue instead of black. I'm guessing GE probably still paid thousands of dollars for it.
